AN ECO-TOURISM PARADISE

Surigao del Norte is a province in the Philippines located in the Caraga Region of Mindanao. Its capital is Surigao City. Surigao probably came from the Spanish word "Surgir," meaning swift water or current. With the division of Surigao into two provinces, Surigao del Sur and Surigao del Norte, the municipality of Surigao became the capital of Surigao del Norte. It became a chartered city on August 31, 1970.

It is a breathtaking eco-tourism paradise that boasts a stunning blend of natural wonders and vibrant biodiversity. Nestled in the northeastern part of Mindanao in the Philippines, this region is renowned for its pristine beaches, lush forests, and unique geological formations.
